Customer Support as a service company Freshdesk has raised $31M in Series D funding in a round led by Tiger Global Management, with Accel Partners and Google Capital. In all, the company has raised $44M. Claims that it has 23,000 customers, which I believe are all paying. Link

Let’s merge, Flipkart tells Myntra
TOI is reporting that Flipkart has initiated talks with Myntra for a merge, propelled by the larger, common investors behind the two Bangalore based e-tailers. Tiger Global and venture capital firm Accel Partners are the two common investors, holding significant shares in Flipkart and online fashion specialist Myntra.
CommonFloor Raises $10M
Apartment management portal CommonFloor.com, has secured Rs 64 crore ($10.4 million) in Series D round of funding from existing investors Tiger Global Management and Accel Partners. The capital will be used for product development, building on its research expertise in the real estate domain. Claims to have 75,000 projects listed on its portal, and has nearly 0.2 million active listings. Link
Bangalore based digital media company SureWaves MediaTech has raised Rs 35 cr in a round led by Canaan Partners and existing investors India Innovation Fund & Accel Partners. Previously had raised Rs 10Cr in 2011. Link
ChargeBee, a Chennai-based startup that helps companies manage their subscription billings, has raised around $800,000 in a Series A funding from Accel Partners. Funding will be used to beef up ChargeBee’s sales teams in the U.S. and also hire more engineers to work on next versions of the startup’s core product. Total funding raised till date comes to $1.17 million. Link
MobStac, a Bangalore-based startup that helps publishers build and manage their mobile websites and apps, has raised $2 million in Series B funding from Accel Partners and Cisco. Will expand its existing cloud platform to build mobile websites for consumer brands looking to sell their products on mobile phones. Has over 5 million unique visitors per month and 25 paying customers. Link
Bangalore based Eventifier has raised around $500,000 in a seed round from Accel Partners and KAE capital. Funds will be used to hire data scientists and beef up sales & marketing efforts to carve out a position in competitive event sector. Claims that it focuses on pre & post event data for organizers and attendees.
Protea Medical, a Delhi based in-home healthcare services company in July, have sold over 30% stake in the company to Accel Partners & Ventureeast. The investors have put in $8 mn in exchange of the minority stake in the company. Link
Chennai based online customer support and helpdesk solution company Freshdesk has raised nearly $7M from venture capital firm Accel Partners and Tiger Global in a fresh round of funding. Freshdesk founder, Girish mentions that they lost $70 in wire transfer, hence raised only $6.999930M. No info on how the company plans to use the funds raised. Link
