India’s National Informatics Center Issues Several Unauthorized SSL Certificates

India’s National Informatics Center, the premier government agency responsible for issuing digital signatures (SSLs certificates) to genuine users in the country has issued an advisory to users. The NIC says that several SSL certificates have been inadvertently issued through the National Informatics Centre-CA (NIC-CA) which could be potentially used to spoof content and perform phishing attacks.
