Nokia Completes Sale Of Mobile Phones Business To Microsoft

Nokia’s mobile phones business is now owned by Microsoft. The deal between the two companies, initially announced back in 2013 was completed after regulatory approvals were were in place. With this, Nokia will no longer be known as a brand that makes  mobile phones. Nokia has also sold the Lumia and Asha brands to Microsoft Mobile – as the new division has been christened. Nokia’s controversial Chennai plant is not a part of the deal.
