Heartbleed: Serious vulnerability puts over one third of Internet services in danger

Heartbleed is the name given to an encryption level flaw in the popularly used OpenSSL software library. This flaw is so serious that it can let the attacker get hands on the certificates, usernames, passwords, instant messages, emails and other critical documents by leaking the memory contents from the server to the client and vice versa.
