Funding: Vicarious, EatStreet

EatStreet, a mobile food ordering service, has raised $6M in Series B funding from Series A investors Cornerstone Opportunity Partners, Independence Equity, Great Oaks Venture Capital as well as from CSA Partners, Silicon Valley Bank, and other angels. Claims to have 300% average annual sales growth, and expects to provide service for over 15,000 restaurants by year-end, in 150 U.S. cities. Link


AI startup Vicarious has raised funding from Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang, Skype co-founder Janus Friis and Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff in an additional shot of capital in its Series B round. Previously, it had raised $40M from Mark Zuckerberg, Peter Thiel and other Silicon Valley notables. So far it has raised $56M for a headcount of 10 employees, however, they are planning to ramp up headcount dramatically. Link
