Funding: LEAP, SoftTech, ElasticBox

Learning Edge Academy of Professionals has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Mumbai based Sarathi Angel Venture Foundation (SAVF). LEAP  provides a blend of traditional and digitized content to educational institutions, and retail segments. Link


US-based ElasticBox which allows developers and enterprises to create, deploy and manage applications, has raised $9 million in series A funding from existing investors Nexus Venture Partners (leading the round) and Intel Capital. Funds raised will be used  to develop a simplified modular app development process which will apparently make it easier for creating, deploying and managing business apps on any cloud infrastructure. It will also be using this investment for increasing its sales force, especially in Europe and Asia. Link


Pune based software company SoftTech, which develops products for the architecture, engineering and construction industry, has raised an undisclosed amount in funding from Jaipur based Rajasthan Venture Capital Fund (RVCF). Funds will be used to improve overseas sales and marketing and new product development. Link
