Thanks to a new Chrome extension, Google has now bought its “OK Google” voice search hotword to desktops. The extension will let users “speak” to their computers and search for stuff on Google without actually typing in anything. The “Ok Google” hotword made its debut with Android 4,4 KitKat late last month. On the Nexus 5, it can be invoked without being on the Google Now screen. On desktops, users will need to have the Google page open for it to work. Link
